1. Scope
This Policy explains how ShortURL.bot uses cookies, local storage, pixels, scripts, device identifiers, server logs, and similar technologies on our websites, dashboard, hosted pages, forms, short-link redirects, QR flows, analytics, and conversion tracking tools.
2. Technology Categories
- Essential technologies: authentication, account security, fraud prevention, load balancing, language, theme, consent state, checkout, and core service delivery.
- Preference technologies: remembered settings such as language, theme, dashboard preferences, and workflow state.
- Analytics technologies: product usage, page performance, click, scan, referrer, device, browser, approximate location, and campaign measurement.
- Conversion technologies: customer-configured conversion pixels, attribution cookies, click identifiers, lead events, sale events, revenue attribution, and related campaign reporting.
- Security and abuse technologies: rate limiting, suspicious activity detection, bot filtering, blacklist checks, and safety-review signals.
3. Conversion Pixels and Customer Sites
Customers may configure a conversion pixel and install our conversion tracking script on their own sites or checkout flows. The script may set or read identifiers and send conversion events such as leads, sales, click IDs, event IDs, customer-provided identifiers, amounts, currencies, and timestamps to ShortURL.bot. The exact script URL, integration pattern, and recommended deployment are described in the Help Center and may change as the Service evolves.
Customers choose settings such as attribution model and cookie duration within the ranges supported by the product. Attribution cookie duration may not exceed thirteen (13) months from the last user interaction, consistent with ePrivacy-Directive guidance from the European Data Protection Board and equivalent applicable law. Customers are responsible for using settings that comply with applicable law and for providing their own cookie notices, consent banners, opt-out choices, and disclosures to visitors.
4. Hosted Pages, Forms, Links, and QR Codes
When visitors open hosted pages, submit forms, click short links, scan QR codes, or interact with page blocks, we may record technical and analytics information so customers can measure performance, prevent abuse, and operate their campaigns. Some records may include masked IP addresses, user-agent strings, referrers, device information, approximate location, timestamps, and campaign tags.
5. Consent and Controls
Where consent is required, we or our customers must obtain it before using non-essential cookies or tracking. You can also use browser controls to block or delete cookies. Blocking essential cookies may prevent login, checkout, dashboard use, forms, or other core features from working correctly.
Customers embedding our tracking tools must honor applicable opt-outs, browser signals where required, cookie laws, privacy laws, anti-spam laws, and platform rules for their own sites and campaigns.
6. Third Parties
We may use providers for authentication, hosting, analytics, payment, email, AI, abuse detection, monitoring, and support. These providers may set or process cookies and similar technologies when needed for their services. See our Subprocessors page for key providers.
7. Changes and Contact
We may update this Policy as technologies and legal requirements change. Questions can be sent through the Help Center or to admin@shorturl.bot.
