1. Scope
This Refund, Billing, and Cancellation Policy applies to paid subscriptions, upgrades, downgrades, seats, domains, renewals, restorations, premium domains, taxes, and other billable items offered through ShortURL.bot. It is part of and subject to our Terms of Service.
2. Subscription Billing
Paid plans are billed in advance on the monthly, annual, or other billing cycle shown at checkout. By subscribing, you authorize us and our payment processors to charge your payment method for recurring subscription fees, taxes, upgrades, add-ons, seats, and other charges you approve or incur.
Prices, plan features, limits, and discounts may change. Unless prohibited by law, price or plan changes apply at your next renewal after notice or as otherwise stated at checkout.
3. Automatic Renewal
Paid subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless canceled before the renewal date. The renewal charge will use the then-current price for your plan, billing cycle, seats, add-ons, and applicable taxes.
To avoid the next renewal charge, cancel before the renewal date shown in your billing settings or Stripe customer portal. We recommend canceling at least 24 hours before renewal to avoid timing issues with payment processing.
4. Cancellation
You may cancel from your account billing settings, the Stripe customer portal, or by contacting the Help Center. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid billing period unless stated otherwise. You retain paid access until that date.
After cancellation or non-payment, your account may be downgraded. Features, domains, pages, forms, conversion configs, analytics history, exports, seats, and other paid capacity that exceed the new plan limits may become unavailable, read-only, unpublished, disabled, or deleted according to plan and retention rules.
5. Upgrades and Downgrades
Upgrades may take effect immediately and may result in prorated charges for the remainder of the current billing period. Downgrades usually take effect at the next billing period unless the checkout or billing portal states otherwise. Downgrading does not create a refund or credit for the current period unless required by law or approved by us in writing.
6. General Refund Rule
Subscription fees are generally non-refundable once billed. When you subscribe or renew, you are paying for access to the Service for the billing period, and access begins immediately after payment. Unused time, lower usage than expected, failure to cancel before renewal, customer configuration errors, or changes in your business needs do not create a refund right.
7. Limited Refund Exceptions
We may, in our sole discretion, issue a refund or credit only in limited circumstances, such as:
- A verifiable duplicate charge or billing error caused by our systems.
- A confirmed material service failure that prevented access to paid features for a significant portion of the billing period.
- A refund required by applicable non-waivable consumer protection law.
- A written refund commitment made by us for a specific transaction.
Refund requests must be submitted through the Help Center within 30 days of the charge unless applicable law requires a longer period.
8. Domain Fees Are Generally Non-Refundable
Domain registration, renewal, transfer, restoration, redemption, premium-domain, registry, registrar, ICANN, and related domain fees are generally non-refundable once submitted for processing, even if the domain is later unused, transferred, suspended, deleted, disputed, misspelled, no longer needed, or affected by registry or registrar action.
Domain renewals may run automatically to protect your domain where auto-renewal is enabled. You are responsible for disabling auto-renewal before the renewal date if you do not want the domain to renew.
9. Trials, Promotions, and Credits
Trials, promotional pricing, coupons, credits, and discounts may have separate terms. Unless stated otherwise, they are non-transferable, may expire, cannot be exchanged for cash, and may be limited to one use per customer, account, workspace, payment method, or organization.
10. Failed Payments and Past-Due Accounts
If payment fails, we or our payment processor may retry the charge. We may restrict paid features, pause renewal, disable domains or hosted assets, downgrade, suspend, or terminate access if payment remains unsuccessful. You remain responsible for unpaid amounts, taxes, chargeback costs, and collection costs where permitted by law.
11. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
If you believe a charge is incorrect, contact us before initiating a chargeback. We reserve the right to dispute chargebacks we believe are incorrect or abusive and to suspend or restrict accounts, domains, and services associated with disputed unpaid charges while the dispute is pending.
12. Taxes
Prices may not include taxes, duties, levies, or government fees. You are responsible for taxes associated with your purchases unless we are required to collect them at checkout or on invoices.
13. Non-Waivable Rights
Nothing in this Policy limits rights that cannot be waived under applicable law. If local law gives you stronger cancellation, refund, renewal, or consumer rights, those rights apply only to the extent required by that law.
14. Contact
Billing and refund questions can be sent through the Help Center or to admin@shorturl.bot.
